Isles boat tour: Murano, Burano, Torcello
Halfway between East and West, venice’s lagoon was a safe haven for fishermen and pilgrims. On the border between myth and legend, between land and sea, here came one of his most illustrious figures, St. Mark, patron saint of the city.
Visiting the most famous islands of the lagoon by sailing comfortably in a boat is the best way to immerse yourself in the history, scents and colours of a prestigious past still very present.
In Murano, we will visit one of the historic furnaces to watch closely the magic of blown glass that has made it famous all over the world. We will continue towards Burano and we will literally find ourselves in another reality that will tell us the story of its fishermen and the art of its lace magically immersed in an indescribable blaze of colours. Finally, Torcello, now solitary, almost undisturbed but still rich in precious treasures such as its splendid Cathedral where the Republic of Venice began its thousand-year history.
