Trekking in Conegliano

The trekking takes place outside and inside the walls of Conegliano, partly at the foot of Colle di Giano, partly on its hillsides. We will walk along a stretch of the Monticano River, which was important in the past for its many mills, of which unfortunately no trace remains.

In the village of Madonna we will pass in front of Carpenè Malvolti, the first Prosecco sparkling wine company, and in front of Dersut, an important roasting company with an extraordinary museum of espresso machines.

Returning to the centre, we enter through the medieval gate of the Lion and follow the most beautiful street of all, the ancient contrada Granda, to the main square named after Giovan Battista Cima, the world-famous Renaissance painter.

We will continue on to the Dante Towers, from where we will start to climb up the picturesque Calle Madonna della Neve, passing by the former Franciscan convent and the ancient 14th-century walls. The breathtaking view from the top of the hill will repay us for our efforts. Descending along viale Benini we will stop on the terrace of the Belvedere to enjoy one last panoramic view of Conegliano and its enchanting territory.
